GAZA (Palestine Foundation Information Center) The Hamas Movement renewed its calls on Arab and Islamic governments as well as the UN organizations, to take urgent measures to end the Israeli siege and ethnic cleansing being committed against citizens in the Gaza Strip, especially in the north.
Hamas stressed in a press statement on Wednesday that the Israeli brutal shelling of citizens’ homes in Beit Lahia, pushing for their displacement under artillery shelling, and the repeated targeting of Kamal Adwan Hospital and its medical teams, show Israel’s insistence on continuing genocide that has been going on in the Gaza Strip for 425 days, and “the inaction by the international community.”
The Israeli occupation army has been launching helicopter bombing, artillery shelling and drone attacks in Beit Lahiya since dawn today, in addition to planting explosive barrels in the neighborhoods of the Beit Lahia Project, which exploded and destroyed dozens of houses. The displaced citizens were forced to evacuate the shelters following Israeli army orders.
In its statement, Hamas said that the continuation of the Israeli systematic destruction of all life aspects in the northern Gaza Strip, especially in Beit Lahia prove that Israel is turning a blind eye to the international laws and the ICC’s arrest warrants against Israeli prime minister Benjamin Netanyahu and the former war minister Yoav Gallant.
