GAZA (Palestine Foundation Information Center) The Hamas Movement has affirmed that it is ready to release all the Israeli captives remaining in the Gaza Strip in “one go” in exchange for a lasting truce, a complete Israeli army withdrawal from the besieged enclave, and the release of Palestinian prisoners.
This came in a statement released on Saturday by Hamas spokesman Hazem Qasem ahead of the seventh exchange of prisoners between the Movement and the Israeli occupation regime.
“The major exchange of prisoners today reflects that our Palestinian people are making one of their great achievements in the Al-Aqsa Flood battle thanks to their steadfastness, sacrifices, and the resistance’s bravery,” spokesman Qasem said.
“Today, al-Qassam Brigades and the resistance are forcing the Zionist occupation to cross the red lines it has set for itself regarding the release of prisoners, and they are about to extract the freedom of several noted prisoners,” the spokesman added.
Later in the morning, al-Qassam Brigades, the armed wing of Hamas, released six Israeli captives in Gaza in exchange for 602 Palestinian prisoners held in Israeli jails.
