Hamas: Killing our leaders will not break our resolve

GAZA, (Palestine Foundation Information Center)، The Hamas Movement has mourned five commanders from its armed wing, al-Qassam Brigades, hailing them as “heroes martyred while fighting the ‘Al-Aqsa Flood’ battle.”

In a statement released on Monday, Hamas explained that its commanders were martyred “after a long journey of resistance, planning, preparation, and building strength in defense of Palestine, its people, its land, and its holy sites, especially Jerusalem and the Aqsa Mosque.”

Hamas identified the commanders as Mohamed as‑Sinwar, the Brigades’ chief of staff who succeeded Mohamed al‑Deif, Mohamed Shabana, commander of the Rafah Brigade, Hakam al‑Issa, who oversaw combat weapons and services, Raed Saad, head of military manufacturing, and Hudaifa al‑Kahlout (Abu Obeida), spokesman for the al‑Qassam Brigades and head of the military media.

Hamas paid tribute to these commanders, saying “their legacy has left its mark since it was founded as a resistance movement more than three decades ago in Gaza.”

“Every one of the martyred commanders represented a complete school of leadership and military preparation, a model of iron will and steadfastness, and an exemplar of loyalty, sacrifice, and devotion,” the Movement said.

It underscored that the Israeli occupation’s crimes against the Palestinian people, their leaders and national figures would never break their will or divert the resistance from its path.
