Hamas slams Israel’s latest assaults, warns of ceasefire derailment

GAZA, (Palestine Foundation Information Center), The Hamas Movement has said that today’s criminal bombardment in the Gaza Strip, which killed more than 20 civilians, underscores that Israel’s genocidal war has not ended.

“This escalation reflects war criminal Netanyahu’s deliberate intent to sabotage the second phase of the ceasefire agreement, particularly with regard to the reopening of the Rafah crossing,” Hamas said in a statement on Wednesday.

Hamas dismissed Israeli claims of a shooting incident targeting one of its soldiers in northern Gaza as “a flimsy pretext to justify its continued crimes and aggression against the Palestinian people,” and “an attempt to impose a permanent reality of abuse and terror in Gaza.”

The Movement called on mediators and sponsors of the ceasefire agreement to take a decisive position against the conduct of “war criminal Netanyahu,” accusing him of systematically seeking to derail the agreement and resume the campaign of killing and starvation in Gaza.
