GAZA,(Palestine Foundation Information Center) The Hamas Movement confirmed that the ongoing massacres committed by the Israeli occupation army in the Gaza Strip, including the killing of dozens of civilians today, especially in Al-Shati refugee camp, where a gathering of innocent children was struck by an air raid that killed and wounded many, represent a brutal escalation of the ongoing genocide that has persisted for more than twenty-one months.
In a press statement released on Thursday, Hamas said that the horrific massacre committed this evening against starving civilians near the US-Israeli humanitarian aid control point north of Rafah City reaffirms the brutality of this mechanism, its criminal objectives, and the urgent need for the international community to intervene to stop it and hold those responsible accountable.
Hamas stressed that the medical sector in Gaza faces the threat of complete collapse due to the blockade, closures, and continuous targeting. In this context, the Movement called on the international community to take immediate action to break the criminal siege and supply hospitals with urgently needed fuel and medical supplies.
“The continued crime by the fascist occupation government of cutting the electricity line that powers Gaza’s only operational desalination plant has resulted in an unprecedented humanitarian catastrophe and the spread of diseases, especially among children. The world must act immediately to stop these measures, which amount to systematic ethnic cleansing.”
At least 15 people were martyred in two Israeli airstrikes this evening on Al-Shati refugee camp west of Gaza City.
Medical sources in Gaza confirmed that 70 people have been killed in Israeli airstrikes across the Strip since early Tuesday, including 42 in Gaza City.
