“The Israeli occupation persists in its brutal war of extermination in the Gaza Strip, targeting schools and shelters housing displaced people and systematically committing the most horrific massacres against them,” Hamas said in a statement on Monday.
“We condemn the horrifying massacre that was committed on Sunday by the criminal occupation against innocent displaced people sheltering in Ahmed Abdul-Aziz School adjacent to the Nasser Medical Complex in Khan Yunis, south of the Gaza Strip,” Hamas added.
Hamas highlighted that the Israeli occupation government commits its crimes without caring about the consequences of its actions, describing it as “the government of war criminals.”
Hamas held the US administration directly responsible for the occurrence of massacres and genocide against the defenseless Palestinians in Gaza, calling it “the main supporter of genocide in Gaza.”
For over 430 days, the Israeli war machine — armed by the US and some European countries — has been claiming the lives of civilians, including women and children, with no regard for any international resolutions and condemnations.
Last night, the Israeli occupation forces bombed another UN-run school in southern Gaza, killing at least 20 displaced Palestinians sheltering in the building, eyewitnesses told Al Jazeera satellite channel, as the death toll from several Israeli attacks across the besieged and war-torn territory, including in Beit Hanoun, Deir al-Balah and an-Nuseirat refugee camp, climbed.
More than 60 people were confirmed dead as a result of Israeli attacks in the last 24 hours, according to Palestinian officials in Gaza.
