Hamas Urges International Action to Deliver Aid via Rafah

GAZA, (The Palestine Foundation Pakistan)

Senior Hamas official Ismail Radwan has called on the mediators to pressure the Israeli occupation regime to reopen the Rafah border crossing between Egypt and southern Gaza in order to facilitate the entry of urgent humanitarian aid.

In remarks made Sunday evening, Radwan affirmed that Hamas and other Palestinian resistance factions are committed to the success of the ceasefire agreement, emphasizing the Movement’s support for the full implementation of the agreement.

Despite the ceasefire agreement explicitly calling for an end to attacks on civilians, the Hamas official pointed out that the Israeli army persists in committing violations.

“Since the agreement was signed, 241 civilians have been killed, according to Al Jazeera,” Radwan said.

The Hamas official noted that humanitarian conditions in Gaza continue to worsen amid ongoing famine and a critical shortage of medical supplies, stressing that the number of aid trucks entering the Strip remains far below what was agreed upon.

He affirmed that the resistance is keen to resolve the issue of the remaining Israeli corpses as swiftly as possible, adding that his Movement informed mediators of its readiness to evacuate its fighters from the “yellow zone” as part of the ongoing humanitarian understandings.
