BEIRUT, (Palestine Foundation Information Center), Senior Hamas official Osama Hamdan has held the Israeli occupation regime fully responsible for obstructing the work of humanitarian organizations and blocking aid from reaching the Gaza Strip, calling such practices “glaring ceasefire violations.”
In a statement on Wednesday, Hamdan emphasized that calls for Hamas to surrender its weapons are entirely unrealistic, dismissing the proposal as a futile idea in light of the occupation’s failure to uphold the terms of the agreement.
Hamdan stressed that any such discussion on the issue is conditional upon the occupation’s full and obvious respect for the terms of the ceasefire agreement.
Hamdan slammed the remarks made by US president Donald Trump during his recent meeting with Israeli premier Benjamin Netanyahu as “biased towards Israel,” affirming that they would not contribute to advancing efforts to halt the aggression and solidify the truce in Gaza.
The Hamas official called on the US administration to move beyond political rhetoric and put real pressure on the Israeli regime to compel it to implement all provisions of the ceasefire agreement without exception.
