BEIRUT (Palestine Foundation Information Center) Senior Hamas official Osama Hamdan has accused the US administration of complicity in Israel’s war crimes in Palestine and Lebanon despite its public claims of working towards stability in the region.
“The US is complicit in the Israeli occupation’s crimes while claiming to be seeking calm and stability,” Hamdan said in an interview with Al Mayadeen satellite channel on Thursday.
“The [Israeli] occupation cannot stand in the face of the resistance in Palestine and Lebanon without American support,” Hamdan emphasized.
Hamdan also criticized the current international system. “The global order needs reform, as it has become paralyzed. Those who are crippling it must understand that it is on the verge of collapse.”
In another context, Hamdan accused the Israeli occupation of trying to demoralize the resistance in Lebanon and its people while evading accountability on the world stage.
“I do not believe the resistance in Lebanon was surprised by the Israeli behavior, nor were we,” the Hamas official said.
