GAZA(Palestine Foundation Information Center) High-ranking Hamas official Osama Hamdan denied what some media outlets are promoting about the difficulty of communicating with the Movement’s newly appointed chief Yahya Sinwar.
“I mentioned in my statements issued yesterday that due to the nature of the battle and the Zionist aggression, there are some difficulties, but communication is permanent and achieves the desired interests,” he said in press statements.
The Movement’s leadership is able to communicate smoothly with its newly appointed chief Sinwar, despite the delay due to the security measures, he added.
Regarding the ceasefire negotiations and prisoner exchange deal, Hamdan said that “the general principles of the initiative were based on a ceasefire.”
“We have informed the mediators that any meeting should be based on talking about implementation mechanisms and setting deadlines rather than negotiating something new,” he added. “Otherwise, Hamas finds no reason to participate.”
