DOHA (Palestine Foundation Information Center) Head of Hamas’s political bureau Ismail Haneyya stressed on Sunday the need to quickly put an end to the Israeli occupation’s aggression and massacres in the Gaza Strip, ensure the withdrawal of its forces from all areas and provide Gaza with its needs.
This came during Haneyya’s meeting in Doha with Wang Kejian, an envoy of the Chinese foreign ministry, in the presence of the Chinese ambassador to Qatar Cao Xiaolin.
Haneyya highlighted the importance of achieving the Palestinian people’s aspirations for the establishment of an independent Palestinian state with Jerusalem as its capital and the fulfillment of their rights to return and self-determination.
The Hamas leader discussed with the Chinese diplomats the political and field developments related to the situation in the Gaza Strip and the efforts to stop the genocidal war on its population and provide urgent aid for them, especially in light of the Israeli starvation campaign.
He also expressed his pride in the strong relations between the two peoples, and applauded China’s support for Palestine and their national cause at the UN, its Security Council and the International Court of Justice and its role in sending aid to Gaza.
For their part, the Chinese ambassadors stressed that the Hamas Movement is part of the Palestinian national fabric and affirmed their country’s keenness on maintaining relations with it.
They also talked about the historic relations between the Palestinian and Chinese peoples and China’s firm positions towards the Palestinian cause and its support for the Palestinian people’s just aspirations for freedom, independence and statehood.
They also called for necessarily stopping the Israeli war and the bloodshed in Gaza and providing the population with their humanitarian needs.
