TEHRAN (Palestine Foundation Information Center) Head of Hamas Movement Political Bureau, Ismail Haneyya, and leaders of the Palestinian resistance groups met Wednesday with Iran’s new foreign minister, Ali Bagheri, in Tehran.
The meeting dealt with the overall Palestinian cause and its various developments, especially the war on the Gaza Strip and its various repercussions.
The meeting was held on the sidelines of the funeral of Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi.
Meanwhile, a high-level meeting of leaders from the Axis of Resistance was held on Wednesday in the Iranian capital in the presence of the Commander of the Revolutionary Guard, Major General Hossein Salami, and the Commander of the Quds Force in the Revolutionary Guard, Brigadier General Ismail Qaani.
Haneyya, Muhammad al-Hindi, Deputy Secretary-General of the Islamic Jihad Movement, Sheikh Naim Qassem, Deputy Secretary-General of the Lebanese Hezbollah, and representatives of the Yemeni Ansar Allah Houthi group and Iraqi factions also attended the meeting.
Haneyya arrived in Tehran on Wednesday to attend the funeral of Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi and Foreign Minister Hossein Amir-Abdollahian and to offer condolences for the tragic loss.
