NABLUS (Palestine Foundation Information Center) Senior Hamas official Abdul-Hakim Hanini stressed on Wednesday that the Israeli occupation forces’ (IOF) demolition of the homes of Palestinian prisoners and resistance fighters will not undermine the resolve of the Palestinian people; rather it will strengthen their will and determination to continue resistance until all rights are regained.
Hanini said in a press statement that the IOF’s blowing up of prisoner Basil Shehadeh’s family home, in the village of Urif, south of Nablus, at dawn Wednesday, over the accusation of assisting the resistance fighters who carried out an operation near Eli settlement last year, is a crime that exposes the Israeli occupation’s criminal mentality.
The IOF accuse prisoner Shehadeh of participating in the shooting operation carried out by Al-Qassam martyrs Muhannad Shehadeh and Khaled Sabah, resulting in the killing of a number of Jewish settlers in June 2023.
The IOF arrested Shehadeh on June 21, 2023, following a large-scale campaign of raids and arrests in the village of Urif.
