GAZA (Palestine Foundation Information Center ) The Ministry of Health in Gaza announced on Friday that five individuals, including two children, have died in the past 24 hours as a result of starvation and malnutrition.
In a statement, the ministry reported that the total number of deaths caused by famine and malnutrition has risen to 322, including 121 children.
Since the IPC officially classified the situation in Gaza as a famine on August 22, 2025, 44 deaths have been recorded, among them six children.
The ministry added that since March 2, Israel has closed all border crossings into Gaza, blocking humanitarian aid. Despite the buildup of relief trucks at the borders, only limited quantities have been allowed in, far below the minimum needed to sustain the starving population.
