Hezbollah Operations Expand Amid Intensifying Clashes in Bint Jbeil

BEIRUT, (Palestine Foundation Information Center), Southern Lebanon witnessed a significant escalation on Thursday, marked by a series of military operations carried out by the Islamic Resistance (Hezbollah), totaling twenty-two operations by the afternoon. These actions included rocket fire, drone strikes, and direct ground engagements.

According to successive statements, the operations were conducted “in defense of Lebanon and its people and in response to the enemy’s violations of the ceasefire agreement,” emphasizing that Hezbollah remains committed to de-escalation despite ongoing Israeli breaches.

Heavy rocket fire on settlements

Most of the operations focused on targeting settlements in northern occupied Palestine. The settlement of Kiryat Shmona came under repeated attack, being struck seven times throughout the day. Additional targets included the settlements of Manara twice, Avivim, Shlomi, Shomera, and Metula, as well as the Al-Ajl Hill site north of Kfar Yuval.

The Al-Assi position, facing the town of Mays al-Jabal, was also targeted with rocket salvos at approximately early afternoon, marking one of the latest recorded operations of the day.

Use of drones and targeting of forces and equipment

In more specialized operations, Hezbollah announced that it had targeted a gathering of Israeli soldiers in the settlement of Misgav Am using a swarm of attack drones.

In the town of Taybeh, an Israeli military bulldozer of the D9 type was struck by an attack drone around midday. Earlier in the day, an Israeli force inside a house in the Taybeh housing project was targeted, with confirmation of a direct hit.

Close-range clashes in Bint Jbeil

On the ground, intense close-range clashes erupted in the city of Bint Jbeil. Hezbollah reported engaging Israeli mechanized forces attempting to advance toward the city market, using light and medium weapons along with rocket-propelled munitions.

Simultaneously, gatherings of Israeli troops and vehicles were targeted in the vicinity of the Moussa Abbas complex, the Tahrir Triangle, and the vocational area through combined rocket and artillery fire. Statements confirmed that the clashes were ongoing at the time of reporting.

Messages of escalation and continued operations

Hezbollah stressed that these operations come as a direct response to repeated ceasefire violations, asserting that “the response will continue until the Israeli and American aggression against Lebanon and its people comes to an end.”
