GAZA, (Palestine Foundation Information Center) The Hind Rajab Foundation has submitted a complaint to the International Criminal Court (ICC) against the killers of Al Jazeera correspondent in Gaza, Anas Al-Sharif, his colleagues from the Al Jazeera team, and other journalists.
The foundation held six senior Israeli military commanders responsible for the killing of Al-Sharif and his colleagues, foremost among them the army’s Chief of Staff, Eyal Zamir.
Those named also include Air Force Commander Major General Tomer Bar and Southern Command Chief Major General Yaniv Asor.
The Hind Rajab Foundation stressed that Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, already wanted by the ICC, stands at the top of the political chain and has encouraged the strategy of targeting journalists as part of the assault on Gaza.
On Sunday evening, Al Jazeera correspondents Anas Al-Sharif and Mohammed Qreiqa joined the list of 236 journalists killed by Israel during its brutal war on the Gaza Strip, after an Israeli strike hit Al Jazeera’s crew tent near the Al-Shifa Medical Complex.
The Hind Rajab Foundation was established in February 2024, headquartered in Brussels, and is dedicated to pursuing Israeli political and military officials through legal cases around the world on charges of committing war crimes against Palestinians.
The foundation is named after a five-year-old Palestinian girl killed by the Israeli army along with six of her relatives when their car was bombed in southwestern Gaza City on January 29, 2024.
