LONDON (Palestine Foundation Information Center) Hundreds of thousands are expected to gather this Saturday for a National Demonstration for Palestine, calling for an immediate ceasefire, an end to the ongoing genocide in Gaza, and justice for the Palestinian people. The march will begin at 12 noon from Russell Square, with demonstrators making their way through central London to Whitehall, sending a clear message to the UK government: enough is enough.
This march is the latest in a powerful series of national mobilizations demanding an end to UK complicity in Israel’s war on Gaza. Over 55,000 Palestinians have been killed in Israel’s relentless bombardment, including thousands of children, with entire neighborhoods flattened and hospitals deliberately targeted.
The demonstration will feature a broad and powerful line-up of speakers including Members of Parliament, trade union leaders, journalists, community organizers, and international voices of solidarity. Confirmed speakers include:
● MPs and Elected Officials: Humza Yousaf MSP, Zarah Sultana, Zack Polanski, and Jeremy Corbyn.
● Trade Union Leaders: Maryam Eslamdoust (TSSA), Fran Heathcote (PCS), and Steve Wright.
● Prominent Voices: Ibrahim Khadra (representing Gaza families), Soumaya Ghannouchi (journalist), Jen Brister, Dr. Mustafa Barghouti, Dr. Mohammad Taher (British-Iraqi surgeon), Jewish Bloc, Genoa Dockers, and Paloma Faith.
● Partner Organizations: Abdulrahman Tamimi (PFB), Ben Gamal (PSC), Raghad Al-tikriti (MAB), Chris Nineham (StW), Carol Turner (CND), and Ismail Patel (FOA)
The march is supported by a wide coalition of partner organizations including PFB, PSC, MAB, STW, CND, and FOA, all of whom continue to play a critical role in organizing and amplifying the voices of solidarity across the UK.
This demonstration will once again show the strength and resolve of the British public to stand against apartheid, genocide, and injustice – and to demand action from the UK government to stop arms sales to Israel and to hold it accountable for its crimes.
