OCCUPIED JERUSALEM, (Palestine Foundation Information Center), The Israeli occupation authority (IOA) announced its intent on Monday to remove the hundreds of productive trees in the town of Sur Baher, south of Jerusalem.
The IOA justified the intended measure by claiming the trees are located within what is termed the “buffer zone” and near the separation wall.
Local sources explained that the order targets large swaths of agricultural land belonging to Palestinian residents.
They warned that the measure threatens the livelihoods of several families and would inflict serious environmental and agricultural harm on the area.
