WEST BANK, (The Palestine Information Centre)Palestinian administrative detainee Kayed Al-Fasfous was moved from Ashkelon solitary confinement to the so-called Ramla prison clinic after a serious health deterioration due to his hunger strike, rights sources revealed.
Al-Fasfous, 34, has been on hunger strike for 57 consecutive days in protest against his arbitrary administrative detention.
The Israeli authorities continue to arbitrary detain Al-Fasfous without charge or trial, while preventing him from receiving family visits in an attempt to force him to break his strike.
Al-Fasfous is an ex-prisoner who spent seven years in Israeli prisons and was re-arrested last May. He launched a hunger strike for 131 days against his administrative detention in 2021. He is married and the father of a daughter. His four brothers are held in Israeli jails.
