GAZA,(Palestine Foundation Information Center )The Ministry of Health in Gaza reported on Thursday morning that hospitals in the Strip received 77 martyrs and 222 wounded in the past 24 hours, amid extreme danger in reaching hospitals in Gaza City.
In its daily statistical bulletin, the Ministry noted that the death toll from the genocide being waged by the Israeli occupation army on the Gaza Strip since October 7, 2023, has risen to 66,225 martyrs and 168,938 injuries.
The Ministry confirmed that 77 martyrs arrived at hospitals in the past hours, while many victims remain under the rubble and in the streets, unreachable by rescue teams.
It added that since the Israeli resumption of the war on March 18, 2025, the number of recorded martyrs and injuries has reached 13,357 and 56,897 respectively.
The Ministry highlighted the continued targeting of civilians during attempts to obtain humanitarian aid. In the past day alone, two martyrs and 44 injuries were recorded, bringing the total victims of aid-seekers to 2,582 martyrs and more than 18,974 injuries since the war began.
As the war enters its 727th day, the consequences of Israel’s systematic policy, based on widespread bombing, total destruction, and a tight blockade, are worsening. These policies are forcing residents into harsh conditions and coerced displacement southward, without any guarantees for their safety or basic humanitarian needs.
This is happening amid a deteriorating health sector, with hospitals overcrowded with the wounded and suffering from severe shortages of medicine and supplies. Israel has systematically targeted the health infrastructure through direct bombing of medical facilities and preventing the entry of equipment and fuel needed to operate them.
The Ministry said that medical teams continue to provide care in the remaining operational hospitals in Gaza City despite the surrounding dangers, and confirmed that access to hospitals has become “extremely dangerous” due to ongoing Israeli bombardment.
Since dawn today, the occupation army has carried out demolitions and bombings of dozens of homes using explosive-laden vehicles in the neighborhoods of Al-Sabra and Tel Al-Hawa in the south of the city, and Sheikh Radwan and Al-Nasr in the northwest, alongside airstrikes, heavy gunfire, and artillery shelling in areas of ground incursion.
The army began its assault on the city on August 11, starting from the Al-Zaytoun neighborhood, in an operation dubbed “Gideon’s Chariots 2.” The attack involved the demolition of homes using explosive-laden vehicles, artillery shelling, random gunfire, and forced displacement.
