WEST BANK(Palestine Foundation Information Center) Three Palestinians including a child were martyred on Tuesday in Israeli raids on Tulkarem and Jenin in the West Bank.
Two resistance fighters were killed on Tuesday evening by Israeli occupation forces’ (IOF) gunfire and shells after one-hour armed clash between the IOF and the two fighters, who were inside a house in Thenaba town east of Tulkarem, according to eyewitnesses.
The eyewitnesses confirmed that the IOF fired bullets and Energa grenades at the besieged house, which led to the martyrdom of the two young men whose identities have not yet been identified and their bodies were detained by the IOF.
Eyewitnesses added that clashes erupted in the area, and that a reconnaissance plane flew over the besieged house at a low altitude.
A Palestinian girl was also killed, and journalists were injured by the IOF gunfire on Tuesday during the storming of the town of Kafr Dan, west of the city of Jenin, north of the occupied West Bank, which has been witnessing a widespread IOF aggression for the seventh consecutive day.
The Palestinian Ministry of Health said in a brief statement that the child Lujain Musleh, 16, was martyred by the IOF bullets in the town of Kafr Dan, in Jenin.
The Palestinian Red Crescent Society reported that its medical teams dealt with four injuries among journalists, one of them was shot in the hand with live bullets, and the other with shrapnel from live bullets, noting that the injured were transferred to the hospital in the city of Jenin.
A large force of Israeli occupation army stormed the town of Kafr Dan and encircled a house that was allegedly housing a resistance fighter, before ordering its residents to leave and starting to shell it by shoulder-fired missiles.
The residents of the town reported that the Israeli occupation forces began demolishing the besieged house, after targeting it with more than one missile.
With the martyrdom of the three Palestinians, the number of martyrs who were killed by IOF gunfire since the start of the military operation on the northern West Bank governorates has risen to 35 citizens, bringing the death toll in the West Bank since October 7, 2023, to 685.
