Karachi (Palestine Foundation Information Center), An international online webinar titled “Shaping West Asia’s Future: The Palestine Cause and War on Iran” was organized by the Palestine Foundation Pakistan (PLF) under the chairmanship of its Secretary General, Dr. Sabir Abu Maryam.
The event was attended by political leaders and intellectuals from Pakistan, Palestine, Iran, as well as the United States, the United Kingdom, Malaysia, Indonesia, Yemen, Lebanon, India, Bangladesh, and several other countries.
Speakers unanimously condemned the ongoing US and Israeli aggression against Palestine, Lebanon, and Iran, terming it open terrorism. They asserted that the defensive actions of Iran, Lebanon, and Palestine are their legitimate right.
The speakers emphasized that Iran and Lebanon are making sacrifices for the Palestinian cause, adding that the United States and Israel have violated all international laws and that human rights have virtually ceased to exist.
Former Pakistani Ambassador Ghulam Rasool Baloch stated that the Muslim world urgently needs unity. He said that as long as the Muslim Ummah remains divided, aggressive powers like the US and Israel will continue to destabilize Muslim countries. He criticized colonial powers for historically exploiting conflicts and warned that they are continuing to do so to strengthen their dominance. He strongly condemned the Balfour Declaration and the Abraham Accords, urging collective support for Palestine, Lebanon, and Iran to prevent further escalation of conflict.
Renowned Iranian scholar and analyst Dr. Foad Izadi stated that Iran has every right to defend itself and is exercising that right. He claimed that Iran has targeted US military bases in the region, after which the United States reportedly began relocating its troops to hotels in Gulf countries. He added that Iran has made it clear that US forces are its target. He further alleged that the US and Israel have bombed innocent civilians in Iran and carried out genocide in Gaza under Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu, warning that similar actions are being attempted in Iran. He also remarked that the world is confronting a “sinister elite,” referencing the notorious Epstein files.
Dr. Abdul Latif Haj from Palestine said that Israeli forces had martyred 40 members of his family, but affirmed that Palestinians would not abandon their rights. He declared that Palestine belongs to the Palestinians and that they will continue their struggle for liberation. He praised Iran’s courage and support, stating that Iran has consistently provided practical backing to the Palestinian cause and is now being punished through war for that support.
Dr. Masood Shajra, a UK-based human rights leader, stated that the United States and Israel are directly involved in human rights violations in Palestine, Lebanon, and Iran. However, he lamented the absence of any effective global mechanism to hold these actors accountable.
Grayson Walker from the United States said that the American public is increasingly frustrated with their government’s policies. He noted that ordinary Americans do not want war, but a specific group continues to fuel global conflicts, pushing the US toward political, moral, and military decline. He added that the American people sympathize with the oppressed populations of Iran, Palestine, and Lebanon.
Ahmed Abdulrahman, a representative of the BRICS Forum from Yemen, stated that Yemen has always supported Palestine and remains united against US and Israeli aggression on Iran. He affirmed that both the Yemeni government and its people stand with Iran, Palestine, and Lebanon.
The Chairman of the Aqsa Group from Indonesia and senior leader of Malaysia strongly condemned US and Israeli aggression in Palestine, Lebanon, and Iran. Indian social activist Feroze Mithiborwala stressed the need for global unity and a joint strategy to counter the aggressive ambitions of the US, Israel, and Western powers.
Iqbal Hassan, a senior lawyer of the Supreme Court of Bangladesh, remarked that international law appears ineffective in the current global order. While condemning US and Israeli aggression against Iran, he emphasized the urgent need to activate international legal mechanisms to prevent further destabilization of the region.
