GAZA (Palestine Foundation Information Center) The Palestine Telecommunications Company (PalTel) declared on Monday that all telecommunications services had been cut off in the Gaza Strip for the tenth time since the start of the Israeli aggression on the besieged enclave on October 7.
“We regret to announce that telecom services in the Gaza Strip have been lost. Gaza is blacked out again for the 10th time since October 7th due to the ongoing and escalating aggression,” the telco said in a statement.
The latest outage is the tenth since the bloody Israeli attacks on the territory in October.
Gaza had been hit by a week-long outage between January 12 and January 19, as the region continues to come under heavy fire from Israeli forces.
Two workers died attempting to restore the services after heavy shelling.
Services were only partially restored on October 19 before going down again today.
Since the start of the aggression, Israel has blocked all deliveries of fuel to Gaza, so resources have been scarce.
