OCCUPIED JERUSALEM, (The Palestine Foundation Pakistan)
The Israeli occupation authority (IOA) demolished a Palestinian house in the east Jerusalem district of Silwan on Wednesday morning as part of its efforts to displace the local population and Judaize the holy city.
According to local sources, a demolition crew from the Israeli municipality tore down the house of Mousa Badran in al-Bustan neighborhood of Silwan.
About a week ago, the IOA compelled Badran to begin demolishing his own home to avoid incurring heavy municipal fines and demolition fees.
Despite his efforts to comply, municipal crews arrived early Wednesday and completed the demolition.
The IOA justified the measure by claiming the house had been built with no license.
Hundreds of Jerusalemite homes are threatened with demolition or appropriation as part of Israel’s Judaization plans in the occupied holy city.
