OCCUPIED JERUSALEM (Palestine Foundation Information Center) The Israeli occupation authority (IOA) forced a Jerusalemite citizen to self-demolish his home in Beit Hanina town to the north of Jerusalem on Monday.
Local sources said that IOA municipality teams, escorted by military units, broke into the home of al-Hashim family and ordered its immediate demolition at the pretext of building without permit.
They added that the family of 11 members were forced to knock down their own home under duress.
The IOA rarely approves construction permits for Jerusalemites and force them to demolish any structure built without permit under threat of hefty fines.
