IOF arrests 13 Palestinians in the West Bank

NABLUS   (Palestine Foundation Information Center) Israeli occupation forces (IOF) arrested on Wednesday 13 Palestinian citizens, including the mother of a martyr from Nablus and a high school student from Al-Khalil, following a large-scale raid campaign carried out across the West Bank where Israeli troops assaulted Palestinian families, stormed and wreaked havoc in their homes.

According to the PIC correspondent, the IOF arrested a number of citizens, during the ongoing aggression on Balata refugee camp, east of Nablus, after storming and searching their homes and abusing them.

Local sources said the IOF arrested six Palestinians from Balata refugee camp near Nablus including the mother of the martyr Muhammad Abu Hamada.

The sources also reported that the IOF raided the city of Salfit and arrested the young man Abdul Rahim Shaheen, after storming and searching his family’s house.

In Tulkarem, the IOF rounded up the young man Sohaib Abu Leifa, after breaking into and searching his family home in Ezbet Al-Tayah, southeast of the city located in the northern West Bank.

According to Palestinian local and security sources, the IOF arrested three citizens from Yatta town, south of Al-Khalil city, south of the West Bank, after storming and inspecting their family homes. The same sources added that Israeli occupation forces arrested Osama Abdullah al-Salal, from Bani Naim town, east of the city, at a military checkpoint set up at the entrance of Farsh al-Hawa in Al-Khalil city.

Mohammed Awad, a media activist in Beit Ummar town, north of Al-Khalil, reported that the IOF raided the town and arrested the high school student Ahmed Za’aqiq, 17, after beating him severely in front of his family.

In Bethlehem, local sources reported that the IOF stormed once again the Husan village, west of Bethlehem city, in the southern West Bank, in conjunction with a large-scale arrest campaign in the village, which affected about 20 citizens who were released later after subjecting them to field investigation inside the Abu Bakr al-Siddiq Mosque’s yard.
