NABLUS (Palestine Foundation Information Center)Israeli occupation forces (IOF) intensified their daily harassment campaign on Wednesday in the village of Al-Luban Al-Sharqiya, located south of Nablus in the West Bank, as part of ongoing military pressure on Palestinian citizens.
According to local sources, IOF soldiers stopped a village resident and confiscated the keys to his vehicle, ordering him to use it to block the village center, disrupting normal movement and access for others.
Residents also reported Israeli foot patrols spread through the village streets, randomly stopping citizens, searching vehicles, and carrying out intimidation tactics.
In a further escalation, the occupation forces have converted a civilian residential building into a military outpost, disrupting life in the surrounding area and heightening fears of future clashes or detentions.
These daily acts of repression in the West Bank come in tandem with Israel’s genocidal war in Gaza, which began on October 7, 2023, and continues with full US support.
So far, the genocide in Gaza has resulted in more than 185,000 Palestinians killed or wounded, the majority of them women and children, with over 11,000 still missing. The war has also forced the displacement of hundreds of thousands, leaving entire communities without shelter, food, or medical care.
The West Bank, including Al-Luban Al-Sharqiya, has seen an escalation in IOF raids, settler violence, and increasing military presence as part of what human rights groups describe as a broader strategy of domination and ethnic cleansing.
