WEST BANK (Palestine Foundation Information Center) A Palestinian man was killed on Thursday morning after being shot by Israeli occupation forces (IOF) in the town of Rummana, west of Jenin.
Local sources reported that the IOF executed 55-year-old Ahmad Al-Amour by opening live fire on him and then repeatedly running him over with an Israeli military vehicle, before seizing his body and arresting his sons.
The IOF claimed that Al-Amour had stabbed and injured one of its soldiers, who was subsequently transferred to Rambam Hospital.
Following the incident, the IOF stormed the town, raided and ransacked numerous homes, deployed sniper units throughout the area, and launched a large-scale arrest campaign.
With Al-Amour’s killing, the number of martyrs in Jenin Governorate since the start of the Israeli assault on January 21 has risen to 41.
The Israeli occupation has significantly escalated its raids on towns and villages in the Jenin Governorate over the past 171 days, regularly storming homes, vandalizing property, detaining and interrogating residents on-site, and arresting many of them.
