WEST BANK (Palestine Foundation Information Center) The Israeli occupation forces (IOF) intensified on Monday its aggressive practices against Palestinian citizens and property and carried out a large-scale arrest campaign during raids in different West Bank areas, amid clashes with resistance fighters.
According to local sources, the IOF stormed Silat al-Harithiya town in western Jenin, where they kidnaped a number of young men, set fire to a house, detonated another one, and wreaked havoc on public and private property, including stores.
Resistance fighters reportedly clashed with Israeli forces in the town and showered them with bullets.
The Jenin Brigade said a group of its fighters in Silat al-Harithiya detonated an explosive device at an IOF vehicle and damaged it.
Israeli forces also encircled a house in the town and ordered its residents to leave it before kidnaping four of them.
In a separate incident, an Israeli drone dropped bombs on a number of homes in al-Hadaf neighborhood in Jenin City — where a military operation has been ongoing for 21 days. No casualties have been reported.
In Nablus, Israeli forces stormed Beit Furik town, patrolled its streets, and kidnaped a young man from his home in Wadi al-Badan area.
Israeli forces also stormed al-Arroub refugee camp in northern al-Khalil while intensively firing live ammunition and tear gas canisters, and forced storeowners to close their businesses at gunpoint.
The IOF reportedly kidnaped a 16-year-old child during his presence near the main entrance of al-Arroub camp and another young citizen from Idhna town.
The IOF also set up checkpoints and blocked roads with mounds of dirt and rocks in different areas of al-Khalil province.
In Tulkarem, the IOF imposed a curfew in Nur Shams refugee camp, while locals reported hearing unknown explosions.
In Tubas, the IOF kidnaped a young man from Tamun town and destroyed private property before withdrawing from the area.
In Salfit, Israeli soldiers brutalized a group of citizens and stole money from them near the city.
