WEST BANK (Palestine Foundation Information Center) The Israeli occupation forces (IOF) kidnaped last night and on Monday morning a number of Palestinian citizens during raids in the West Bank, amid fierce resistance in northern Tulkarem.
According to local sources, the IOF kidnaped at least eight citizens during raids in al-Arroub refugee camp, north of al-Khalil.
The sources added the IOF broke into and ransacked several homes in al-Arroub camp and attacked cars in its streets.
Local youths reportedly clashed with Israeli forces in the eastern neighborhood of the camp and threw homemade explosive devices at them.
Israeli soldiers also savagely assaulted ex-detainee Iyad al-Bou and members of his family before kidnaping his sons, Islam and Mohamed. He was released recently as part of the prisoner exchange deal between Hamas and the Israeli occupation.
In Ramallah, the IOF kidnaped seven young men from their homes in Deir Abu Masha’al village and two others from Abu Shukhaydam village. A teenager was reportedly transferred to the hospital after Israeli soldiers severely beat him in Abu Shukhaydam.
Two other citizens were taken prisoners during IOF raids in the towns of al-Mazra’ah ash-Sharqiya and Kobar.
In Nablus, the IOF confiscated a car during a raid in the Old City and kidnaped a teenager from his home in Osarin village.
Meanwhile, the Palestinian resistance in Tulkarem showered Israeli forces with bullets after detonating an explosive device at one of their vehicles in Qaffin town.
The IOF also stormed other areas of the West Bank, with no reported arrests.
In a related context, the Palestinian Commission of Detainees’ and Ex-Detainees’ Affairs said that the IOF kidnaped at least 25 citizens, including children and ex-detainees, during an arrest campaign in the West Bank, which started on Sunday evening and continued into Monday morning.
