AL-KHALIL (Palestine Foundation Information Center) The Israeli occupation forces (IOF) kidnaped at dawn Thursday speaker of the Palestinian Legislative Council (PLC) Aziz al-Duwaik during a violent raid on his home in al-Khalil City.
According to local sources, Israeli soldiers fired stun grenades and tear gas canisters inside the house of Duwaik during the raid before kidnapping him.
The Israeli Occupation Authority (IOA) released Duwaik a few days ago after he spent eight months in administrative detention.
Duwaik had been exposed to an incitement campaign by the Hebrew media after he talked in an interview conducted with him by Al Jazeera satellite channel about the harsh incarceration conditions in Israeli jails.
In this regard, the Hamas Movement denounced the IOA for kidnapping Duwaik once again after releasing him a few days ago, stressing that the Israeli vindictive practices against the PLC speaker would not succeed in breaking his will.
Hamas called on the parliaments around the world and human rights and legal groups to intervene urgently to pressure the Israeli government to release him.
