IOF Detains and Assaults Palestinians During West Bank Raids

WEST BANK, (Palestine Foundation Information Center), The Israeli occupation forces (IOF) kidnaped and assaulted a number of Palestinian citizens during raids in the West Bank last night and at dawn Saturday.

According to local sources, the IOF kidnaped a citizen along with his wife and son from his home in Nabi Saleh village, northwest of Ramallah. They were reportedly blindfolded, maltreated, and bundled into a military vehicle.

The IOF also stormed Ni’lin town in Ramallah and kidnaped a number of citizens, amid clashes with local youths.

In northern Jerusalem, Israeli police forces severely beat a young man during a raid in al-Ram town.

Police forces also stormed Qalandia refugee camp, north of the holy city, and kidnaped some young men. They reportedly clashed with local youths and showered them with tear gas.

A number of Palestinian young men were taken prisoner during an IOF raid in Biddu town, northwest of Jerusalem.

In Salfit, three young men from Qarawat Bani Hassan village sustained injuries after Israeli soldiers savagely assaulted them near the Jericho checkpoint as they were on their way back from work.

The wounded young men were transferred to Darwish Nazzal Hospital in Qalqilya, where signs of torture and severe beatings were evident on their bodies.

In al-Khalil, Israeli forces kidnaped two young men after raiding their homes in the towns of Sa’ir and Beit Ummar.

In Nablus, Israeli soldiers assaulted several young men at a military checkpoint near the illegal Shavei Shomron settlement.

An infant suffocated and received medical assistance yesterday evening after Israeli forces raided Madama village in southern Nablus and showered homes and citizens with tear gas canisters.

The IOF also stormed other areas of the West Bank and raided homes, with no reported arrests.
