WEST BANK (Palestine Foundation Information Center) The Israeli occupation forces (IOF) kidnaped dozens of Palestinian citizens during a large-scale arrest campaign in the West Bank and Jerusalem last night and on Wednesday morning.
According to local sources, the IOF kidnaped three citizens during raids in Tulkarem City and the suburbs of Shuweika and Dhanabah.
The IOF also kidnaped two citizens from Nablus City and Balata refugee camp and three others from the towns of Halhul and Sa’ir in al-Khalil.
Three sisters working as teachers were kidnaped following IOF raids on their homes in Beit Kahil town in al-Khalil province.
At the main entrance of al-Arroub refugee camp in northern al-Khalil, the IOF forced men and women to stand in lines and then photographed them and their IDs before allowing them to leave through the barrier and reach the main road.
In Ramallah, two others were taken prisoners during IOF raids in Beitunia town and Beit Ur al-Tahta village.
In Jenin, the IOF reportedly kidnaped at least 16 citizens from different areas, while Palestinian Authority security forces kidnaped two resistance fighters during a raid in Silat ad-Dhaher town in Jenin.
Local sources reported that the IOF kidnaped dozens of young men during a raid that continued for over six hours in Arraba town, west of Jenin.
At dawn, Israeli forces stormed Arraba town and wreaked havoc on public and private property, including water pipelines, roads and roadside businesses.
The IOF also stormed Qabatiya town in southern Jenin, where they broke into and ransacked homes, and clashed with local youths.
In Jerusalem, Israeli policemen opened fire at a young man and injured him in his leg near a road barrier in the east of al-Ram town.
Last night, Israeli soldiers disguised as civilians kidnaped a young man from his workplace at the Shifa Medical Center in Kafr Aqab, east of Jerusalem.
The IOF also raided homes in other areas of the West Bank and Jerusalem, with no reported arrests.
