WEST BANK (Palestine Foundation Information Center) The Israeli occupation forces (IOF) kidnaped last night and at dawn Monday scores of Palestinian citizens during a large-scale arrest campaign in the West Bank.
According to local sources, the IOF kidnaped at least 59 citizens during overnight raids on homes in the towns of Silwad and Kafr Ni’ma in Ramallah province.
The IOF also kidnaped other citizens during its raids in Silwad and Kafr Ni’ma, but it released them later after interrogating them on-site.
In al-Khalil, Israeli soldiers kidnaped at dawn a wounded child identified as Mohamed az-Zaaqiq from his home in Beit Ummar town and two brothers from the family al-Farroukh from their home in Sa’ir town.
The IOF also kidnaped MP Azzam Salhab from al-Khalil City a few days after his release from an Israeli jail.
Last night, dozens of citizens suffered from their exposure to tear gas during clashes between local youths and Israeli forces in al-Arroub refugee camp, north of al-Khalil.
In Bethlehem, Israeli forces kidnaped two young men from their homes in the towns of Beit Fajjar and Husan.
In Nablus, Israeli forces kidnaped a young man from his home near the Satoun Mosque in the Old City.
Local sources reported that a young man was injured in his thigh when Israeli soldiers opened fire at citizens in ash-Shuhada plaza in central Nablus.
In Tubas, the IOF stormed Fari’ah refugee camp and wreaked havoc on public and private property before withdrawing.
