WEST BANK (Palestine Foundation Information Center) The Israeli occupation forces (IOF) kidnaped at least 40 Palestinian citizens during raids in the West Bank at dawn Wednesday.
According to local sources, the IOF kidnaped 14 citizens after raiding homes in Salfit province.
Ten other citizens were taken prisoners during an IOF raid in Qalqilya City.
The IOF also kidnaped 16 citizens, including seven children and an elderly man, following raids in al-Khalil’s al-Arroub refugee camp, Kharsa village, and towns of Beit Kahil, Yatta, and Beit Ummar. Among the detainees are high school students.
The IOF reportedly deployed road barriers at the entrances of al-Khalil City and several towns around it, which obstructed the movement of Palestinian citizens and vehicles.
For nearly six days, the Israeli occupation army has been imposing a full-scale closure on the West Bank, blocking most of its roads and restricting the movement of local residents.
