WEST BANK (Palestine Foundation Information Center) The Israeli occupation forces (IOF) kidnaped at dawn Saturday a number of Palestinian citizens, mostly workers, during raids in the West Bank, amid clashes and renewed settler attacks in some areas.
According to local sources, the IOF kidnaped about 20 workers from Gaza during a raid on a hall in Idhna town in western al-Khalil.
Thousands of workers and patients from Gaza had been detained and abused by the IOF in the West Bank in recent months after they failed to return to the war-torn and besieged coastal territory.
In Qalqilya, Israeli forces stormed the city at dawn, detained and interrogated several local youths before releasing them, and clashed with others.
In Jenin, the IOF carried out raids on several villages, including Rummanah, Zububa, Anin, and Tayba, and interrogated local residents, with no reported arrests.
In Ramallah, one young man was injured by gunfire and two others by teargas grenades during clashes last night with Israeli forces in Kafr Ein village.
In Bethlehem, the IOF kidnaped one young man from his home in al-Masara village.
Meanwhile, dozens of extremist Jewish settlers gathered near Beitillu village in the northwest of Ramallah, amid fears of their intent to launch attacks in the area.
Last night, five Palestinians were injured in a new settler attack on Abu Falah village in the northeast of Ramallah.
The Red Crescent said that its ambulance crews provided medical assistance for five wounded citizens after they were savagely beaten by settlers in the village.
The same settlers, who stormed the village aboard a vehicle holding a Palestinian registration plate, opened fire at homes and other citizens who tried to fend them off.
On Friday evening, a citizen suffered fractures after a horde of settlers attacked the same village, where they also burned at least 12 cars, four agricultural structures and five motorcycles.
A young man was killed and 25 others were injured by live ammunition on Friday when settlers escorted by soldiers attacked al-Mughayyir town near the village of Abu Falah.
