WEST BANK (Palestine Foundation Information Center) The Israeli occupation forces (IOF) kidnaped at dawn Thursday seven Palestinian citizens from their homes and detained others for a while during raids in al-Khalil and Nablus in the West Bank.
According to local sources, the IOF detained about 50 citizens during a raid in Beit Awwa town, southwest of al-Khalil, and interrogated them before letting them go.
The IOF also kidnaped Sheikh Ihsan Karaja, a mosque imam, and his son, Suhaib, from their home in Halhul town, north of al-Khalil.
Two citizens were also taken prisoners during an IOF raid in the new refugee camp of Askar in eastern Nablus.
Israeli forces also kidnaped three young men from their homes from different areas of eastern Nablus.
In Tubas City, Israeli forces tried to raid homes, but they had to withdraw after they came under intensive fire from resistance fighters. Later, Israeli reinforcements stormed the City.
Local sources in Tubas said that Israeli soldiers stormed the house of martyr Abdul-Raouf al-Masri in Aqaba town and took its measurements as a prelude to demolishing it later.
Masri and another resistance fighter carried out a shooting operation that killed an Israeli soldier in the northern Jordan Valley on August 11, 2024.
In Salfit, Israeli forces detained and assaulted a number of citizens during a raid in Marda village.
Local sources told the Palestinian Information Center (PIC) that Israeli soldiers forced storeowners to close their businesses and prevented the local residents from entering or leaving the village.
