WEST BANK (Palestine Foundation Information Center)The Israeli occupation forces (IOF) kidnaped at dawn Sunday a number of Palestinian citizens during raids in the West Bank, mainly in Ramallah.
According to local sources, the IOF carried out large-scale raids on homes and on-site interrogations, assaulted Palestinian citizens, and smashed windows of some cars during an arrest campaign in Silwad town, east of Ramallah.
Local sources affirmed that the IOF kidnaped at least 16 young men from Silwad town.
In al-Khalil, Israeli forces kidnaped five citizens after ransacking their homes and assaulting them in Dura City.
Three other citizens were taken prisoners during an IOF raid in Tamun town, southeast of Tubas.
Israeli forces reportedly clashed with local youths and resistance fighters during its raid in Tamun.
In a related context, the Palestinian Prisoner Society (PPS) said that the IOF kidnaped at least 15 Palestinian citizens during a campaign that started last night and continued into Sunday morning.
According to PPS, the detainees are from al-Khalil, Tubas, Ramallah and Jerusalem.
