WEST BANK (Palestine Foundation Information Center) The Israeli occupation forces (IOF) kidnaped last evening and on Thursday morning a number of Palestinian citizens during raids in the West Bank, amid clashes and injuries in some areas.
According to the Palestinian Prisoner Society, at least 20 citizens, including a child and two women, were kidnaped by the IOF in West Bank raids, which started on Wednesday evening and continued into Thursday morning.
Local sources said that the IOF kidnaped three citizens, including two brothers, from their home in Qalqilya City and six others from different areas of al-Khalil province.
In Nablus, scores of Jewish settlers stormed overnight the eastern area of Nablus city in the occupied West Bank under military protection and performed rituals at Joseph’s Tomb.
Meanwhile, several Palestinian citizens suffered injuries during clashes with Israeli soldiers and settlers during their presence in the eastern area of Nablus, where the tomb is located.
The IOF also stormed the Balata refugee camp in Nablus and confiscated a car belonging to a citizen accused of carrying out the car-ramming operation that killed two Israeli soldiers near the Awarta checkpoint last night.
An IOF drone also targeted a number of resistance fighters at the entrance of Balata camp and the al-Jamasin neighborhood, with no reported casualties.
Meanwhile, Red Crescent paramedics provided medical assistance for two wounded citizens and evacuated them to a hospital after Israeli soldiers savagely assaulted them near the Awarta checkpoint in Nablus.
Paramedics also provided medical assistance for three citizens with shrapnel injuries and five others suffering from inhaling tear gas during violent clashes between local youths and Israeli forces in Balata camp.
In Tubas, armed clashes reportedly took place between resistance fighters and Israeli forces in the city.
In al-Khalil, the IOF stormed Beit Ummar town and Arroub refugee camp, ransacked homes, and showered homes and young men with tear gas canisters.
In Tulkarem, Israeli forces stormed different neighborhoods of the city and took measurements of a house belonging to prisoner Mohamed Shahrour as a prelude to demolishing it later.
Meanwhile, the Tulkarem Brigade, an affiliate of al-Quds Brigades of Islamic Jihad, said that its fighters detonated an explosive device at an IOF vehicle, causing damage to it.
In Ramallah, a young man suffered a bullet injury during an IOF campaign in the cities of Ramallah and Bireh.
Local sources said that a large fire broke out in the Hibah vegetable market and nearby buildings in central Ramallah as a result of an intensive teargas attack launched by Israeli troops during skirmishes with young men.
