JENIN (Palestine Foundation Information Center) A Palestinian ex-detainee was proclaimed dead on Thursday after he succumbed to a serious bullet injury he sustained during armed clashes with Israeli forces, who encircled and attacked his house in Bir al-Basha village, south of Jenin in the occupied West Bank.
The Palestinian health ministry identified the martyr as 24-year-old Wisam Khashan, an ex-detainee from Bir al-Basha village.
Local sources said that the Israeli occupation forces (IOF) kidnaped Ahmed Khashan, the martyr’s brother.
Earlier at dawn, the IOF stormed Jenin City and the outskirts of Jenin refugee camp and embarked on destroying private and public property, including cars and roads, amid clashes with resistance fighters and local youths.
The IOF also carried out a large-scale arrest campaign in Jenin, kidnaping multiple citizens from their homes.
