TULKAREM (Palestine Foundation Information Center) Two young Palestinian men were martyred at dawn Tuesday after the Israeli occupation forces (IOF) attacked their vehicle near a military checkpoint in western Tulkarem.
Local sources identified the martyrs as Abdul-Fattah Jabara and Ahmed Rajab from Tulkarem refugee camp, adding that the IOF seized their bodies.
Eyewitnesses said that Israeli soldiers showered the car the victims were in at the checkpoint and prevented ambulances from reaching them.
The IOF justified its gunfire attack on the car by claiming that the young men opened fire at its soldiers.
However, local sources said that Israeli forces stormed the western neighborhood of Tulkarem City and opened fire at everything moving, killing the young men as they were aboard their car in the area.
Meanwhile, a general strike was declared on Tuesday morning in Tulkarem province in mourning for the young martyrs.
