RAMALLAH(Palestine Foundation Information Center)The Israeli occupation forces (IOF) demolished at dawn Saturday the house of the Hamas leader and prisoner Bajes Nakhleh in Ramallah.
Local sources reported that Israeli bulldozers knocked down the 2-story house, turning it into a pile of rubble.
Two days earlier, Nakhleh’s family evacuated the house after they had been notified one week ago of the demolition decision under the pretext of unlicensed construction, the sources elaborated.
Bajes Nakhleh, who spent long years in captivity in Israeli jails, mostly under illegal administrative detention orders, has recently been arrested.
Meanwhile, the IOF rounded up seven Palestinians including a child in the al-Jalazoun refugee camp to the north of Ramallah.
The detainees include two brothers of the Masarweh family, two brothers of the Nakhleh family, two other men of the Masarweh and Abu Asbeh families, and the child Khalil Mohammad. They were all arrested after breaking into their houses and wreaking havoc inside.
