RAMALLAH (Palestine Foundation Information Center) The Israeli occupation forces (IOF) carried out late yesterday and at dawn Monday a large-scale raid and arrest campaign throughout the West Bank.
In Tulkarem, the IOF troops stormed the city from its western axis, accompanied by several military bulldozers, and started sweeping the streets and destroying the infrastructure.
Israeli reconnaissance planes were also seen hovering over the area.
The bulldozers also destroyed Dowar Al-Alimi Street, damaging its infrastructure, especially the water network in the area, and the stairs of the court complex.
The IOF then raided a local commercial store and detained and investigated its owner.
The IOF also imposed a tight cordon on the Tulkarem refugee camp and deployed snipers on the roofs of high-rise buildings.
In Qalqilya, the IOF broke Jayyus town amid heavy firing of live bullets and sound bombs.
Local sources reported that the IOF launched an extensive raid and search campaign targeting local homes and stores.
Similar raids were reported in Ain al-Sultan camp, north of Jericho.
In al-Khalil, at least 19 Palestinians were detained in Dura town.
A woman was brutally attacked during her husband’s arrest.
Four more Palestinians were rounded up in Al-Mughayir town in Ramallah.
As for Nablus, the IOF troops stormed Balata refugee camp and deployed snipers on the rooftops, which led to the outbreak of violent clashes.
