WEST BANK, (The Palestine Foundation Pakistan)
The Palestinian Red Crescent confirmed that a young man was injured by Israeli gunfire on Friday, during an Israeli military raid on the town of Beit Furik, east of Nablus.
The Director of the Emergency and Ambulance Center in Nablus, Ameed Ahmed, stated that the Israeli occupation forces (IOF) shot and injured a 18-year-old young man in the leg with live ammunition. The victim was immediately transported to hospital for treatment.
Local sources reported that the IOF troops stormed the town amid heavy gunfire and the firing of toxic tear gas canisters, sparking confrontations in the area.
These developments come amid an escalation of daily settler attacks under the protection of the Israeli army, alongside continuous raids on Palestinian cities and towns across the occupied West Bank, including Occupied Jerusalem, since the start of Israel’s war on Gaza on October 7, 2023.
According to Palestinian medical sources, Israeli assaults in the West Bank have so far resulted in the killing of 1,071 Palestinians and the injury of nearly 10,000 others. More than 20,000 people have also been detained, including 1,600 children.
