WEST BANK (Palestine Foundation Information Center) The Israeli occupation forces (IOF) stormed at dawn Wednesday different areas of the West Bank, raided homes and kidnaped several Palestinian citizens, amid clashes with local youths and resistance fighters.
According to local sources, resistance fighters clashed with Israeli forces in different areas of Jenin City and its refugee camp, as well as near Burqin town and Kafr Quds village.
Local sources said that the IOF went on the rampage through Jenin and its refugee camp, bulldozing roads and infrastructures and causing damage to public and private property.
They added that the Israeli forces fired live ammunition at local youths during clashes with them in different neighborhoods of Jenin, amid drone overflights and presence of snipers on rooftops of some tall buildings.
The IOF also kidnaped a number of citizens during raids on homes in Jenin City, its refugee camp and countryside.
Four citizens were reportedly kidnaped from Jenin and its refugee camp, including senior Hamas official Abdul-Jabbar Jarrar and the son of Islamic Jihad official Bassam al-Saadi.
A young man called Hamza Abul-Haija was also kidnaped from his home in an IOF raid in al-Yamun town, west of Jenin. The IOF reportedly blasted open the door of a store belonging to the young man and searched his house.
Resistance fighters opened fire at the Israeli forces and detonated some explosive devices at their vehicles during the IOF raid in Yamun town.
In Tulkarem, similar armed clashes took place between resistance fighters and Israeli troops in the city and Nur Shams refugee camp.
During the events, the IOF deployed snipers on rooftops of buildings around Nur Shams camp, bulldozed infrastructure and prevented ambulances from entering the area.
In Qalqilya, the IOF kidnaped four citizens from their homes in the city, amid violent armed clashes with resistance fighters.
A similar IOF campaign also took place in Tamun town, southeast of Tubas, during which resistance fighters opened fire at Israeli soldiers and detonated explosive devices at their vehicles.
Two citizens were injured during clashes with Israeli forces in different areas of Tamun town. The IOF also broke into and searched the house of prisoner Murad Bisharat, confiscated a cellphone and a sum of money belonging to his father, and ransacked another house belonging to one of his relatives.
In Nablus, two young men were taken prisoners during IOF raids on homes in al-Dahiya neighborhood in the east of the city.
Israeli forces also carried out raids in Kafr Qallil village and Qusra town in Nablus, with no reported arrests.
In Ramallah, the IOF kidnaped two citizens after violently searching their homes in the villages of Dura al-Qari’a and Ras Karkar.
In Jericho, Israeli soldiers ransacked several homes in Aqabat Jabr refugee camp, especially houses belonging to families of prisoners.
In Bethlehem, the IOF attacked local youths with tear gas canisters and stun grenades during clashes with them in al-Khader town, and detained a number of citizens at the western entrance of Bethlehem, particularly in Aqabat Hasna area.
In al-Khalil, three citizens were kidnaped, three cars were seized and several homes were pillaged during an IOF raid in Sa’ir town, northeast of the province.
