WEST BANK (Palestine Foundation Information Center) The Israeli occupation forces (IOF) demolished at dawn Monday two Palestinian homes in Qalqilya at the pretext of unlicensed construction and kidnaped a large number of citizens during raids in different areas of the West Bank.
According to local sources, three bulldozers escorted by Israeli troops stormed Qalqilya City and demolished two homes.
The two homes belonged to ex-detainees called Saleh Abu Saleh and Bassam Yassin. The measure rendered their families homeless.
A young man also suffered a shrapnel injury in his thigh during clashes between local youths and Israeli forces in the northern area of Qalqilya City.
In Nablus, Israeli forces stormed the old campus of an-Najah University, rounded up 20 students as they were holding a protest inside the facility, and assaulted employees.
Head of the student council Mohamed Salama was among the detainees.
In Ramallah, the IOF stormed Kobar town and broke into and ransacked the homes of prisoners Nael, Murad and Rabie al-Barghouthi.
The IOF wreaked havoc on the furniture of the raided homes and confiscated money from them and two cars belonging to the wives of Nael and Rabie.
The IOF also kidnaped a young citizen from al-Jalazon refugee camp in northern Ramallah and two others (father and his son) from Beitin village in the northeast of Ramallah.
In Jenin, five citizens were taken prisoners during IOF raids on homes in al-Zababida town.
In Bethlehem, the IOF raided some homes and kidnaped one young man, amid clashes with local youths.
