IOF, settler attacks escalate across West Bank

WEST BANK(Palestine Foundation Information Center) The Israeli occupation forces (IOF) and settlers continued their assaults on Palestinian civilians across various areas of the West Bank as part of an escalating pattern of daily violations targeting Palestinian towns and villages.

In Occupied Jerusalem, a group of settlers stormed citizens’ lands in the town of Hizma, northeast of the city, provoking residents and attempting to seize agricultural areas, under heavy protection from Israeli forces.

Additionally, settlers also under the protection of the Israeli army closed the road connecting the villages of Al-Mughayyir and Abu Falah, east of Ramallah, obstructing civilian movement and causing a severe traffic jam.

In Jenin, Israeli forces raided the town of Silat al-Dhahr, conducting searches in Palestinian homes, accompanied by a heavy military presence in the residential neighborhoods.

In Salfit, the IOF stormed the town of Al-Zawiya in the western area of the governorate and set up military checkpoints at its entrances, while simultaneously conducting searches in the surrounding areas.

These violations come amid an ongoing escalation by Israeli forces against Palestinians and their property, as part of a broader policy aimed at pressuring residents and tightening control over Palestinian lands.

Also on Friday, settler gangs forcibly displaced two Palestinian families from the Al-Auja waterfall area, north of Jericho in the occupied West Bank.

Hassan Mleihat, general supervisor of Al-Baydar Organization for the Defense of Bedouins and Targeted Villages, reported that settler groups forcibly expelled the families of Ayyed Mousa Ka’abneh and Ibrahim Ayyed Ka’abneh after violently attacking them in the vicinity of their homes.

He added that settlers surrounded the families, brutally beat them, and issued direct death threats, describing the incident as “one of the most extreme forms of terrorism.”

Mleihat explained that settlers had recently established outposts just 300 meters from the families’ homes, turning their lives into a daily nightmare. The families have endured ongoing harassment, repeated invasions, property destruction, and deliberate terrorization, all aimed at driving them out of the area.
