AL-KHALIL, (Palestine Foundation Information Center), The Israeli occupation forces (IOF) carried out a violent raid on Thursday evening into the town of Dura, southwest of al-Khalil, during which two young men were detained and assaulted.
Local sources reported that Israeli military vehicles entered the town from its southern entrance toward the central area, deploying throughout the streets and around residential neighborhoods. Shop owners were forced to close their businesses, and residents were prevented from moving freely along several roads.
The sources added that forces fired large quantities of stun grenades and tear gas canisters during the raid. Two young men were detained and physically assaulted before the IOF troops withdrew toward the town’s eastern entrance.
Cities and towns across the West Bank have witnessed a marked escalation in Israeli military raids, which are often accompanied by the heavy use of tear gas and stun grenades, movement restrictions, and forced shop closures. These military operations frequently result in cases of tear gas inhalation and property damage.
