Iranian Missile Attack on Tel Aviv Suburbs Leaves Five Wounded

JAFFA, (Palestine Foundation Information Center), The Israeli ambulance service said that five people were injured with varying degrees of severity in the Bnei Brak area on the outskirts of Tel Aviv, following a missile barrage launched from Iran in the early hours of Thursday.

According to Al Jazeera satellite channel, the latest salvo towards central Israeli areas, which came after about five hours of relative calm, caused considerable destruction, particularly in Bnei Brak.

Israeli sources said that cluster munitions were used in the latest Iranian barrage targeting central areas, which followed successive waves of Iranian missile strikes on Wednesday.

The Hebrew media reported that fragments of a “cluster missile” fell in 11 locations across the greater Tel Aviv area, causing material damage in Ramat Gan, Bnei Brak, and Tel Aviv.

Israel’s Channel 13 described the latest attack as a “double strike” by Iran and Hezbollah, targeting both central and northern areas simultaneously.

The Hebrew media also reported destruction to water infrastructure and a large number of vehicles in the same areas due to falling missile fragments, adding that a building in the city of Shefa-Amr in Galilee was hit by a rocket salvo launched from Lebanon.

On the northern front, Hezbollah announced that it had bombed Israeli infrastructure in the Kiryat Ata area east of Haifa with rockets.

Israel’s broadcasting authority noted that the pace of rocket fire from Iran and Hezbollah has intensified significantly during the Jewish Passover holiday.

On Wednesday, an Israeli man died in Ramat Gan, east of Tel Aviv, after losing consciousness from shock and panic as sirens wailed and hundreds rushed to underground shelters.
