BEIRUT (Palestine Foundation Information Center) A delegation from Palestinian resistance factions met in Beirut with Acting Iranian Foreign Minister Ali Bagheri Kani and his accompanying delegation and the Iranian Ambassador to Beirut, Mojtaba Amani, on Monday.
The Palestinian delegation included the Secretary-General of the Islamic Jihad Movement, Ziad al-Nakhalah, his deputy, Dr. Muhammad al-Hindi, the deputy head of the Hamas Movement in the Gaza Strip, Dr. Khalil al-Hayya, the Hamas leader, Osama Hamdan, the deputy secretary-general of the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine, Jamil Mezher, the Secretary-General of the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine – General Command, Talal Naji, and the Secretary-General of the Democratic Front for the Liberation of Palestine, Fahd Suleiman.
During the meeting, the factions renewed their condolences over the loss of the late Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi and Foreign Minister Hossein Amir Abdollahian.
The meeting also dealt with the latest political and field developments in the “Aqsa Flood” battle.
Kani, for his part, emphasized that Iran will continue to back the Palestinian resistance and that the Palestinian issue is a top priority for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
